Team Human Base Camp

Team Human Base Camp has openings for new camp mates. We formed in 2018 when a few weird and creative burners decided to band together to take care of and support each other out there in the harsh and wild landscape of Black Rock City while providing a space for everyone to be their truest selves. This year (2026), will be our seventh year as a placed camp. Every year we bring our double decker stage and open it to musicians, performers and artists of all kinds. The stage is our primary offering and it is an incubator for creative sounds, sights and dreams. We love and welcome everyone regardless of race, religion, nationality or identity. This year we’ll be featuring Shit-show Karaoke every evening Monday-Thursday. But the stage will be open for other performances and creative expressions most other times of the week.
But wait…there’s more! Team Human provides a kitchen, private shower, potable water and one Porto in camp. This infrastructure improves the quality of life on playa but, it’s expensive. Team Human does not have a wealthy benefactor so we finance all of our camp thru collection of dues. It’s funded by all of us. This year dues will be $300.

If you’re looking for a small, close-knit, eclectic camp with community, creative space and the possibility of forming lifelong friendships, Team Human Base Camp may be the camp for you.
