Looking for 1–2 Campmates (Small Solo Camp)
- Country: United States (US)
- City: San Francisco
- Listed: July 10, 2026 7:46 am
- Expires: 278 days, 8 hours
Description
I’ve been attending Burning Man solo every year since 2022, and this will be my fifth burn. I’m looking for one or two campmates to join my small, low-key camp.
Over the past few burns I’ve built up a comfortable camp, and all of my gear is stored in Reno. This includes a 20×20 shade structure, my yurt (for my own use), generator, AC, shower tent, bathroom tent, two e-bikes, coolers, and other camp essentials.
Unfortunately, the friends who joined me the last couple of years can’t make it this year, so I have room for one or two people.
If you’re looking for:
– A relaxed, drama-free camp (not a theme camp)
– A small group rather than a large organized camp
– A camp where everyone pitches in with setup and teardown
…I’d be happy to hear from you.
The only requirement is that you ride with me from either San Francisco or Reno to Black Rock City and back, since I’ll need help loading and unloading the truck in Reno and setting up/breaking down camp. Setting up the camp will take approximately half a day and breaking down should take another half.
Schedule
– Depart: Early morning, August 29 (from San Francisco, with pickup possible in Reno)
– Return: Morning of September 5 (I won’t be staying for the Man Burn.)
What’s included
– An e-bike for the week
– Power for charging the bike and your electronics
– Drinking water and enough water for one shower per day
– Space for your own tent or ShiftPod under the shade structure (you’ll need to bring your own shelter)
– A Figjam cooler or access to the AC
Food and drinks can be shared, or you’re welcome to bring your own.
There is no camp fee. I only ask that we split gas and part of the rental truck cost. Depending on whether one or two people join, I expect your share to be no more than about $500.
If this sounds like a good fit, send me a message and tell me a little about yourself, your Burning Man experience (if any), and what you’re looking for in a camp.
