LA to Reno

🚗 Ride Offer: LA → Reno (Aug 28–30 window)

Hey Burners! I’m not attending the Burn this year, but I am craving a change of scenery — so my husband and I are planning a little East Side/Tahoe escape for his birthday, and figured we could help a couple folks get up to Reno. 🎳

We can take 1–2 passengers + some gear.

Pricing:
• Solo rider: $325
• Two riders: $225 each
(Just covering the cost of the rental car/gas— hoping to get a big + comfy SUV since my Honda Fit won’t work.)

Timing: Prefer Friday morning (Aug 28) departure, but Saturday works too. Drive straight up with a few stretch breaks along the way so 8-10 hours, but sometimes it takes longer.

Drop-off: Likely Grand Sierra Resort or somewhere in Reno where you can meet campmates before heading to the playa. We won’t be going all the way to the gates since we need to be back home Monday and want to spend time in Tahoe.

• Would love to bring along a foreign Burner to show them the East Side — Bishop, Schat’s, the whole deal — but open to anyone kind and fun.

I’d also be willing to haul some gear instead of bodies- (sorry no bikes). Backpacks/tents/ice chest… anything that’s not an odd size. Must be clean (rental car)

I’ve given folks rides home to LA from Reno and it worked pretty well. This year we can’t offer the return trip, sorry.

Side note: I also live near LAX and would be able to do airport pickup (airport to hotel/airbnb etc) any days around the Burn… so you wouldn’t need to deal with bus, metro, Uber/Lyft or Waymo… I’m just trying to hustle and make ends meet so if you want a private ride to/from airport before or after the burn let me know!!! We can talk about that too.
