First Burn, good vibes, strong back, curious mind seeking camp

Hey! I’m Stephen, 37, from Seattle, and this will be my first Burn.

I’m looking for a camp where I can contribute, meet good people, and be part of creating something out there. I enjoy building things, staying active, and jumping in wherever I’m useful. I’m not expecting to show up and be entertained. I want to help create the experience. I’ve been to many small and large, dusty and trippy festivals before, as a vendor and as an attendee.

I’m a former software engineer who’s now pursuing a career in firefighting. I currently work as an EMT at the Gorge.

Outside of work I’m into climbing, yoga, DIY projects, biking, hiking, dancing, art, live music, and spending as much time outside as I can. I also love wandering around, finding weird interactive art, and having the kinds of conversations that somehow mostly happen at 3 am. Lately I’ve been getting into acroyoga, aerial arts, and pickleball. I just really enjoy learning and staying active.

I’ve heard the best part of Burning Man isn’t the art or the parties, it’s the people you end up sharing the experience with. That’s what I’m hoping to find.
