15 Years Later… and the Most Meaningful Burn Yet

2025 marks 15 years since my first Burning Man. Over the years, I’ve shared countless memories and inspired friends to come along—but this year is different. This year, my mother, Marisa, is finally joining me.

She’s 73 and has always said no, worried she’d be a burden. But I was finally able to express what it would mean to share this with her—and she said yes.

Life is short. And I know this Burn, with her by my side, will be one of the memories I treasure most at the end of my days. There’s something beautiful about me carrying her across the Playa for 9 days—when she once carried me for 9 months.

So I’m reaching out to this amazing community: I want to give her the most comfortable experience possible. She has limited mobility, and I’m envisioning a trike setup with a bench and umbrella, front or back.

Has anyone done this? Have tips, gear suggestions, or stories?
We’d be so grateful to hear from you.

Also—if anyone has an RV available to rent from August 22 through early September, we’d love to find a cozy space for my mom. My partner and I will be staying in our shiftpod, so this would be just for her comfort and rest.

We’re based outside the U.S., so any leads or support in helping us coordinate from afar would mean the world.
