Immersive Audio Lounge looking for performers!

Hey there!

Camp Half No Sphere is Black Rock City’s finest immersive audio lounge and we are looking for performers to come share their talents on our stage and co-create with us.

We have a state of the art three dimensional sound system mounted inside a large shaded truss structure, with a big elevated stage and LED lighting rig. We have all of the sound equipment necessary to host a variety of performers, from full live bands, to solo electronic acts, DJ’s and more.

What we are looking for are musicians, artists and performers that are willing to explore this exciting new medium and create magic with us. Music is a big part of our offering, but we’re also interested in hosting sound baths, dance performances, workshops, and other events that make use of this technology.

From a technical standpoint, immersive audio works best with lots of inputs and sound sources that we can spatialize around the room. We can do stereo content like DJ’s too, but what really sounds cool in the space is when you add live instruments on top. Basically the more inputs you can plug in the better! But we’re happy to work with anyone to come up with creative ideas and solutions, so feel free to reach out if you’d like to contribute but don’t really know much of the technical stuff!

We are also looking for sound and lighting techs that want to get involved behind the scenes too, and we have a limited number of spots left in our camp for folks that really want to get dusty and help build the whole thing!
