I’ll be taking 2 rigs this year from LA to BRC this year and offering to take cargo to offset my fuel costs. Last year I took one and it was a hit, everyone’s gear got there and they were super grateful, so here’s to a growing demand.
My route will again be LA, Sacramento, Reno, Gerlach to BRC, so I can pick up items along those points.
One rig leaving on the Monday 21st and I’m leaving on Wednesday the 23rd arriving in the evening.
To be fair, the cost of transporting a thing will depend on the size and how much space that thing takes up; just like UPS but less expensive and right to the playa.
For comparison, through UPS shipping 1 common yellow top black 27 gallon bin weighing 40lbs cost over $100 now. Last burn same sample bin was under $50.
Blame labor shortages, global warming or aliens, fuel and transportation costs are through the roof 😕
