First-time burner from Hotlanta: seeking a camp and ticket, ready to contribute

Hey there, my name is Ian and I’m a 30 year old Burning Man newbie from Atlanta! I’m super excited to be venturing out to the Playa for the first time. I’m very curious about the culture and ethos of the event, and I’m eager to get my hands dirty and help out in any way I can.

I am on the hunt for a camp that is looking for someone to pitch in and help out in exchange for a ticket. I am open to any kind of work, whether it’s building structures, assisting with daily chores, or working on creative projects.

I’m a software engineer by trade, and I’d love to help out with any LED light programming or to help write software robotic moving parts that the camp may be using. I haven’t worked with that stuff specifically, but I did a lot of low level software engineering developing drivers for circuit boards and designing algorithms for smart watches. I’m also a quick learner and always eager to take on new challenges diving in and figuring things out as I go.

I can’t wait to get out there and experience the magic of Burning Man firsthand. Let’s make some memories!
