Camp Half No Sphere is looking for a few more campers!

Hey there!

Camp Half No Sphere is Black Rock City’s finest immersive audio lounge and we are looking for a few extra campers to help us bring our offering back to the playa this year and to co-create with us.

We have a state of the art three dimensional sound system mounted inside a large shaded truss structure, with a big elevated stage and LED lighting rig. We have all of the sound equipment necessary to host a variety of performers, from full live bands, to solo electronic acts, DJ’s and more. We also host sound baths, dance performances, workshops, and all kinds of other events.

If you’re someone who likes to build things and make cool stuff and contribute in different ways then we want you! We have a very limited number of extra steward sale tickets for key contributors that are eager to go the extra mile, but we also have space for folks that already have their ticket and are just looking for an awesome camp to join. We are giving extra preference to folks that are in or around the Los Angeles area that can help with post-burn clean up the following weekend after Man-burn.

Our camp provides the following amenities:

– Showers (bring your own water)
– Pump out for communal grey water tank
– Shared kitchen with grill, propane, cooking equipment, washing up station
– Conduit shade structure for tent campers to set up under
– Limited room for a small number of RV’s
– Large shaded area for public facing immersive audio performance lounge
– Preferred slots for music performances, DJ sets, workshops etc.

– Family dinners program
– All campers form teams of about 6-10 people to prepare a family dinner for the rest of the camp during one evening
– During the rest of the week you eat delicious dinners for free with the rest of the camp

We don’t provide power for campers’ personal areas so folks should bring their own solar / battery / generators

Camp members are expected to contribute to the following:

– Help with either build (Sunday of gates opening) or strike (Saturday morning before the man burns)
– Volunteer for at least one shift to help run an event in the immersive lounge
– Join a family dinner team
– Help with post burn clean up in either LA or Bay Area the weekend after Man Burn
