I camp with BRC Welding and Repair. We're those guys who do free bike repair and weld metal into cool objects in our spare time. We also did the sky couch, except mainly that was Hammer.
I'd like to build a series of art bikes this year in line with the robotic theme. Think "robotic-insect riders". I'm looking to collaborate with others who think this is a cool idea and would like to share ideas for design and fabrication.
I was inspired by these bikes I saw at the Austin Bike Zoo earlier this year.

I contacted them shortly after the Austin Film Festival but they were not interested in working with me.
It would be pretty cool to build a few of these and maybe even have a meetup on playa with different builders. Remember: we may be facing a robot future but insects will still consume all!
